The Handfasting Ceremony
This ceremony originates from the ancient Celtic custom of Hand-Fasting, in which the newly-wedded couple had their hands tied together with an Endless Knot, or Eternity Knot in a symbolic ritual.
This ritual has now become a popular inclusion in modern weddings.
The couple have their hands bound together with ribbon or cords, during the wedding ceremony. This can take place, either before, during or after reciting their vows, symbolizing their connection and devotion to one another.
